Sandman Magazine (Rob Wright)

I'm just wondering if I have a piece of genuine rockubilia in my hands. Curari have included a kazoo with their CD. Is this the same one that features thereon?

Yes, one of their songs features a kazoo. Brave? Foolish? I'm not sure, but it's a bit different. As are Curari. On one hand, you have two rock numbers, 'No For An Answer' and 'Hate You,' and on the other you have two ballads, 'Just Like Me' and 'Don't Tell Me.'

What's a bit different is that Eli Lauder sings throughout with the sweetest of voices. This makes for interesting sounding rock songs, but bland ballads. The title track does have a lot of single potential, however, and conjures up images a metal Blondie. In fact, Curari have a lot of potential, full stop. Perhaps this is a new dawn for the mighty kazoo.
