Eli sings, sometimes writes and very occasionally bashes away on a tambourine for Curari. And despite numerous complaints often roadies equipment at gigs.
Eli started singing in infant school, most notably performing what she was told in later years was a pretty good rendition of “I saw mummy kissing Santa Claus”.
There were then several years of peace and quiet – in the awkward years - before she picked up a microphone at secondary school. In year 8 she won a school ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ competition, performing “Sunshine” as a very short though extremely white Gabrielle doppelganger.
Numerous performances and some dabbling at song writing took her to study Music Technology at college, and she decided it was time to form a ‘band’.
Eli does not like Karaoke.
Eli uses the following microphones in Curari:
Sennheiser E865 (Live)
Rode NTK (Recording)
