Ross plays the drums in Curari and generally drums on anything that produces a sound, much to the annoyance of anyone fortunate enough to be sat near him.
Ross’s musical career started at the age of 2 months when his Dad sat him behind a drum kit for the first time. 13 years later, after trying a number of instruments, Ross finally decided drumming was his calling and began lessons with Tony ‘The Rocker’ Riley and Tony ‘Animal’ Moyers. He here crafted grooves so smooth they could make a Wolverine purr. After playing in punk covers band ‘Daina’ for 2 years Ross decided to up sticks and leave for Newcastle to learn more about the joys of Economics (or not) and nebulising vodka. During this time Ross did anything other than play drums, but talked a good game.
After leaving Uni Ross decided to back up the self created hype and joined Leeds based covers band ‘The World Class Intermediates’. After 2 years and a gruelling schedule of 2 gigs, Ross decided it was time to realise his full potential and auditioned for a place in Curari. With only a small amount of bribery involved, Ross now finds himself an integral part of the Curari revolution.
Ross plays the following in Curari:
Pearl DLX Professional Series Drums
Remo Mastertouch Piccolo Snare
Sabian AAX Cymbals
Tama Iron Cobra Pedals
